Dr. Lisa R. Lowry graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Master of Science Degree from Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 1985. She then received her Doctor of Medicine from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, graduating as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, a distinguished medical honor society. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the Tulane Medical Center, followed by a residency in Dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She returned to her husband's native Oklahoma and had her own Dermatology practice, which included general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology offerings.

Dr. Lowry, along with her husband and two children, moved to Tyler for the beauty of the outdoors, the faith, the fellowship and the friendliness of its people. Dr. Lowry is also an accomplished professional artist and an avid horse lover and rider.
