Dr. Meads grew up in Arkansas where she received a BS in biology and chemistry at Ouachita Baptist University and her MD at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She then moved to Gainesville, Florida, where she was a resident in dermatology at the University of Florida. Her interest in cutaneous surgery and cosmetics led her to the Scripps Clinic in San Diego, California, where she completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and laser procedures. Dr. Meads received training in Mohs micrographic surgery under the direction of Dr. Hubert Greenway, a respected leader in dermatology who trained with the pioneer of Mohs micrographic surgery, Dr. Frederic Mohs.
Dr. Meads and her family relocated to Tyler to be closer to their families in East Texas and Arkansas. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Anthony, and their daughter, Eva, along with their other family members in Tyler. Her favorite pastimes are playing the piano, reading, hiking, and traveling.
You might see Dr. Meads for general dermatology care or if you require dermatologic surgery. In addition, she provides our patients exceptional expertise in a variety of laser and cosmetic procedures. As part of her fellowship training, Dr. Meads worked with Dr. Vic Ross, a renowned international laser expert, receiving specialized training in the treatment of rosacea, acne, acne scarring, age spots, tattoo removal, and laser resurfacing. She is also skilled in performing sclerotherapy, Botox injections and Restylane injections.
